Sell a template

The Raylight editor file panel with the Raylight logo lit by a blue glow.

A template is a project other people can start from. You set the price, buyers pay on your own store, and you keep 100% of every sale.

1. Publish your project as a template

  • From your dashboard, hover a project card, open the ••• menu (or right-click), and choose Publish as template. The same option lives in the editor, under the project menu at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Give it a name and description, then pick a category, styles, and tags so people can find it in the Marketplace.
  • Raylight renders the preview video for you when you hit Publish. Nothing to record or upload.

2. Turn on selling

In the publish dialog, switch on Sell this template:

  • Price and currency: what buyers pay.
  • Checkout link: your product page on your own store. Gumroad, Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, anything with a URL works.

Buyers pay on your store, not through Raylight. Raylight processes nothing and takes nothing, which is why you keep 100%.

3. Wire up delivery

  • Go to My templates, open your template's ••• menu, choose Manage, and click Copy purchase link.
  • Paste that purchase link into your store product as the thing buyers receive after paying.
  • The purchase link is what unlocks the template. A paid template will not open without it.

How a sale flows

  1. A buyer clicks Buy and pays on your store.
  2. Your store delivers your purchase link.
  3. They open it and the template becomes a project in their Raylight, credited to you.
